Just over 38 weeks and the time finally arrived. The induction was scheduled for Tuesday, September 30th at 16:00. We arrived at the hospital and got checked in. They administered the first pill about 18:30 and the second around 22:30. At 04:30 in the morning the water broke and it was on. By 05:30 they had the IV hooked up and we were ready to go.
The doctor said she was progressing nicely and it would probably be a late afternoon arrival. I used the time to start this blog and get a little work done. However, by 11:30 they were ready to give the epidural and by 12:30 it was time to push. Then at 13:17 she arrived, 8lbs. 8oz. and 20.5" long. She has a full head of black hair just like her mother.
And so it begins.
